Jessica Biel, Kate Beckinsale and Bill Nighy confirmed for Total Recall

 The remake that no one wants to see has somehow managed to trick every actor in Hollywood into thinking it’s something they want to star in. 

Director Len Wiseman has somehow managed to attract a cast that includes Colin Farrell, Bryan Cranston, Jessica Biel, Kate Beckinsale and Billy Nighy, the latter three of which were confirmed today.  

They even have Ethan Hawke in a cameo role, which he described as a 5-page monologue.  I was confused about Hawke’s involvement, but it makes sense that he would take a role just to do a monologue.  

And we know Beckinsale is married to Wiseman.  As for Farrell and Biel, your guess is as good as mine.

The film is said to be a different take on Philip K. Dick’s short story ‘We Can Remember It for You Wholesale’ than the original Arnold Schwarzenegger film.  

In fact, this version is supposedly not even going to feature Mars.  I’m not sure how that will work, but filming starts Monday for an August, 2012 release date.
