Jennifer Lopez Ex Wins Right to Release "Intimate" Video Footage

Jennifer Lopez is no doubt fuming at the moment. Her star is on the rise again with her appearances as a judge on American Idol. In the background, however, she has been fighting a lengthy court battle against ex-husband, Ojani Noa.

Lopez married Cuban-born Noa in February 1997 and the couple divorced the following year. About the average length of a Hollywood marriage. They met whilst Noa was working as a waiter in a Miami restaurant.

A court battle has been going on for years between the couple. Noa intended to release exclusive home video footage of Lopez, taken during their short lived marriage. Lopez was successful in a court injunction to stop him. There was even news at one stage that Noa intended to audition for the current American Idol series. Just like a smell that won’t disappear.

As you can see, the years following the divorce have not been entirely friendly. Now RadarOnline have the exclusive that Noa has won the court battle. He has found a legal loophole to exploit and his home video footage could well see the light of day.

He won’t release the footage. Legally he is not allowed to. But that’s not to stop him giving the footage to current girlfriend Claudia Vazquez, and her releasing it.

Ed Meyer, Noa’s executive producer for the project told RadarOnline: “Claudia Vazquez has been allowed to release the home videos of Ojani and Jennifer. The project will deal with JLo’s rise to fame, and her marriage to Ojani. Claudia will be meeting with video distributors on Tuesday, and hopefully, a deal can be made very soon.”

Legal rulings have been released in the latest courtroom battle, stating, yes, it is so. The legal writing on the wall for Lopez states: “Vazquez argues she has and is suffering harm in that she has had difficulty in obtaining work as a result of Lopez’s attempts at enforcing the Injunction against her.

“Vazquez argues that Lopez, on the other hand, will suffer no harm if Vazquez’s preliminary injunction is granted. Lopez puts forth no arguments contradicting those of Vazquez and, in fact, fails to address this element of the preliminary injunction test altogether. As a result, the Court finds that the balance of the equities weighs in favoor of Vazquez.”

Plot: Kathryn Bolkovac (Weisz) is a Nebraska cop who is thrust into the gravelly snake pit of UN regulated Bosnia. She works as part of a private corporate army, training Bosnian police to restore order to the war-torn country. 

As she begins to get the lay of the land in her new environment, she starts to see signs of a terrible underground industry whose patrons are not only from within the corporation but from within the United Nations as well.

After finding a woman who has escaped from a human trafficker selling sex slaves to hidden brothels in the area, Kathryn begins to see how expansive an industry it has become in the years following the war. 

As she gathers more and more evidence to bring to light she discovers the last thing she ever expected, that there is no way for the corporate army and UN officers to be held accountable for their actions.

YouTube Introduces Movies On Demand Service, Finally!

Life just got better for all YouTube loyalists. After a dull week, rife with updates on how to transfer videos from a slowly dying Google Videos onto an over-worked YouTube, the worst seems to be over. Pay and Watch!

YouTube has now officially entered the online movie rental space. The service that is all set to launch this week will charge users for streaming mainstream Hollywood movies. YouTube is poised to give the popular iTunes service a stiff competition. iTunes currently is the most popular paid video streaming service, and now with YouTube entering the space with a host of big names backing it; the competitor seems to have toughened overnight.

YouTube, to say, was in plans of launching its own video streaming service since long. But, it was in the process of getting in the biggest names in the market under its hood. YouTube has so far managed to get in studios like Sony Pictures Entertainment, Warner Brothers and Universal, as also independent studios like Lionsgate and Kino Lorber. However, Paramount Pictures, Fox and Disney have not given in their consent to licensing their movies, as yet. Hollywood, however, is now optimistic about YouTube’s this move, since its being seen as an excellent revenue generating mode. 

All the more crucial, since the revenues coming in from the home entertainment sector has been on a steady decline.
